David started their career as an MBA Intern at Yahoo! in Business Operations. David Jen has a wealth of experience in finance and investments and is an excellent leader. David Jen graduated from Tufts University with a BA in International Relations and Economics. David then went on to earn their MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Anima Anandkumar

Professor Anandkumar's research interests are in the areas of large-scale machine learning, non-convex optimization and high-dimensional statistics. In particular, she has been spearheading the development and analysis of tensor algorithms for machine learning. Tensor decomposition methods are embarrassingly parallel and scalable to enormous datasets. They are guaranteed to converge to the global optimum and yield consistent estimates for many probabilistic models such as topic models, community models, and hidden Markov models. More generally, Professor Anandkumar has been investigating efficient techniques to speed up non-convex optimization such as escaping saddle points efficiently.

David led R&D Efforts at Auris Health from inception through the acquisition of the company by J&J where he continued on as the VP of R&D for Surgical Robotics. At Auris he participated in raising more than $750M in venture investment, acquiring Hansen Medical, and gaining the initial 510K for Robotic Bronchoscopy. The Acquisition of Auris by J&J in 2019 was the largest private medical device acquisition to date.
